Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
– Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
– Trekking preparation
– Accommodation: Hotel
– Meal: No

Day 2: Kathmandu to Diktel Bazaar (Drive)
– Drive time: 8–10 hours
– Altitude: 950m (Halesi)
– Scenic road journey heading east from Kathmandu, passing winding hill highways, terraced fields and rural settlements
– Optional stop at the holy Halesi Mahadev Temple (Cave) en route
– Accommodation: Local lodge / hotel in Diktel
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 3: Drive to Chekhewa / Tawa Bhanjyang, then trek to Dhotre (2,752m)
– Short morning drive followed by a 4–5 hours trek
– Altitude: 2,300m (Chekhewa)
– After a short jeep ride towards the ridge, the trek officially begins
– Walk past pastoral hamlets and rolling hills into Rai and Limbu cultural territory
– Accommodation: Community homestay or local lodge
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 4: Trek from Dhotre to Maiyung / Hanspokhari (3,122m)
– Trek time: 5–6 hours
– Trek through dense forests of oak and rhododendrons
– Pass Hanspokhari (a peaceful alpine pond) and walk along scenic ridge paths
– Eastern Himalayan views begin to open up on clear days
– Accommodation: Basic lodge / tented camp / homestay
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 5: Trek from Maiyung to Rawadhap (3,426m)
– Trek time: 5 hours
– Follow rolling alpine ridges with panoramic lookouts on both sides
– Experience indigenous Kirat hospitality, local cuisine and traditions at Rawadhap
– Accommodation: Local homestay / basic lodge
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 6: Trek from Rawadhap to Salpa Bhanjyang (3,348m)
– Trek time: 4–5 hours
– A shorter walking day through pristine forest trails
– Salpa Bhanjyang is a historical trading and pilgrimage pass near the sacred Salpa Pokhari lake
– Accommodation: Tented camp / basic teahouse
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 7: Day hike to Silichung Peak (4,153m) and return to Salpa Bhanjyang
– Trek time: 5–6 hours round trip
– The highlight of the trek: early morning pre-dawn or sunrise ascent to the summit of Silichung Peak
– 360-degree panorama covering Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and Mera Peak
– Descend back to Salpa Bhanjyang for overnight
– Accommodation: Tented camp / basic teahouse
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 8: Trek from Salpa Bhanjyang to Hyakule (2,972m)
– Trek time: 5–6 hours
– Descend on the northern slope of the pass
– Walk through green pastures, lower alpine forests and quiet ridge slopes down to Hyakule
– Accommodation: Local teahouse / homestay
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 9: Trek from Hyakule to Bhojpur (1,700m)
– Hike time: 5–6 hours (early morning push)
– A long descent through terraced hillside farms, waterfalls and mixed ethnic villages
– Bhojpur is a historic town known for its handmade Khukuri (traditional knives) and Newari craftsmanship
– Accommodation: Local lodge / hotel in Bhojpur
– Meal: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 10: Bhojpur to Kathmandu (Drive)
– Drive from Bhojpur back to Kathmandu
– Overnight at Kathmandu
– Accommodation: Hotel
– Meal: Breakfast

Day 11: Departure
– Departure to Malaysia
– Meal: Breakfast
